Mmmm, I've been drinking mojitos lately. I don't know why, but I feel like I've spent the entire winter craving them. This coming from someone who hardly drinks at all. First attempt at Hamantaschen...
...is a failure. Okay, so they are golden brown and delicious cookies. They just failed to stay in the traditional triangle shape, meaning they are vaguely triangle shaped rounds of cookie with gobs of chocolate or apricot jam on them. the things I learn in school
I exchanged recipes today with Kiran Asher, my fem theory professor. I sent her a biscuit recipe that I will be using this weekend at the pig roast ("It's a fucking pig roast"). The Jet Stream has come down to Massachusetts and it is bitterly cold. I have been inside for most of the day, but I just went out for a walk. The BBC has a short video clip about some of this year's Guinness Book of World Record breakers. It's done by a strangely un-ironic sounding British man who placidly describes a number of very absurd events. It's kind of like watching Monty Python, except this time it's real.
