"The activity of the Lord," Samkara maintains, "... may be supposed to be mere sport (lila), proceeding from his own nature, without reference to any purpose."

The concept of lila, of play or sport, seeks to convey that Isvara creates (sustains and destroys) worlds out of the sheer joy of doing so."So what you're saying is that I can support ( Read more... )

Hmm, not sure I'll be able to make that, though there is no real reason why not. I will make note of it..

I'll be there!
And hoping it isn't bad livejournal etiquette to do so, I'm going to add in my comment:
To anyone reading this, if you're also interested in the England VS Trinidad and Tobago game, Hannah and I will be at the same venue, same time, different night (Thursday) to cheer on the Soca Warriors and you're welcome to join us.

We have four weeks of holidays ahead of us (soon). At some time in this, I'm sure a game will fall into place.
I entered an online competition to win flash socccer shoes in preparation. Why did I do this? I'm going to be so ashamed when I get on the field and kick the ball to the other team.

Apart from this Thursday - work take-over!
Haha, I'm pretty excited. If it gets quiet, I want to change draw DVDs into lock cases. I've concluded that this is one of my favourite work activities.

haha i did that all day today. i did about half the foreign section. it was hawt. i like it, and i also like boxing up. as you know. though as my boxing up efforts have gone unaknowledged (ie "the only ones who ever box up are madison and lisa") i am understandably not engaging in that so much anymore.

In reply to the post addition, I don't think that is who you think it is.... That's just going from the picture url, which maybe you noticed anyway. But I'm under the belief that Perth is actually full of Chris Isaak clones who front rockabilly bands and like to hang out at the Mustang Bar. I've never been there to have this theory disproven.

i have been to the mustang bar on many an occasion (mostly in first year, in my defence) and i can say that this is a fair assessment.

But did you notice that there's a Mustang Bar over east (Brisbane) too? I'm not ready to give up the dream yet.

I'm not going to make it to the game tonight. Good luck.

I did notice that and I think your dream is justified. If he was hanging around, Mustang Bar seems like a good place to find him. If I see him there tonight, I'll give him your number.

No problems - good luck yourself, with the study.
