You're not terrible at updating your journal, now I'm terrible at updating mine, which I haven't done in...a few years it looks like. So you know, you're better than me.

I'm so happy for you and your wonderful job, it sounds very exciting and fun-filled. I love the idea of "just do it."

Have fun in Germany!

Me I'm fine, I'm just doing the same ol' thing I've been doing for the past five years and hope that I'm getting better at it. I mean I know I am, cause I feel like I come a long way in my toddler/preschool teaching.

I first read the hashtag as wizards for scotland drug by team. I wanted to know what a drug by team was. Scots throwing drugs at people? Doesn't sound like something wizards should support. ;)

Just keep doing what your doing, which is being awesome. For the writing thing, every writer has his or her slumps. You'll get back in there and write something amazing, and I'll buy it and love it.

It's a really interesting job, I feel very lucky to be involved. It's a lot of work, but that's alright at this stage in my life. I probably won't go with the "Just recycle damnit" campaign idea but you never know, someone might try something similar one day.

Scots wouldn't do that! Throwing away drugs, don't you know what they cost? ;)

And thank you. I intend to get back on with my prose telling of our recent RP story, so that will be something to write.

Nice to see you posting! And very glad to hear the job is going well, and other goals too.

Don't beat yourself up too hard about the writing -- sometimes when you're extra busy with something else (like getting used to a new job--!) the energy for writing may dip a little, but I'm sure it will come back.

Have a wonderful time in Berlin! I was there for a few days a few summers ago and really enjoyed it. I would really recommend the "DDR Museum" -- it's very small, but it has fantastic displays about life in East Germany. There's a section with reproductions of actual drawings and essays by schoolchildren, for example, which I thought was absolutely fascinating.

Thank you! I fully intend to post more, and get back on this fanfic I was supposed to be writing in - November?!! Dear god.

Thank you for your kind reassurance about the writing. I know I don't want to stop, I'm just having a hard time putting anything of substance together. My friend suggested 'bashing something out' the way a pianist would sit at a piano and just improvise something, but even that seems to take a lot of effort at the moment!

I'll see if I can fit that in! I'm very excited to be going. I've even learnt some German - not much point when the person I'll be with is a fluent German speaker, but still, I'm enthusiastic.

Just to let you know, I did go to the DDR museum! I found it fascinating too - the holiday vouchers for example, and all the facts about how they were educated and got jobs. Our tour guide told us that the unemployment rate is much higher for East Germans today, because many of the older adults have no experience of a competitive job market. But on the other hand, you have the kitsch nostalgia side of it. It's all so interesting.

Great! I'm glad you enjoyed the DDR Museum. I'll be looking forward to hearing more about your trip when you get a chance. :)
