Adam Lambert concert

May 05, 2010 09:44

Okay, so Adam Lambert tickets are secured. The seats are horrible. They have level 100, which is the pit (I am not going in that), level 200, 300 and 400. For the pre-sale, there were no level 200 seats that were coming up and I was just fuming mad. I checked later, after the tickets were purchased, and then only level 200 seats were coming up! Aw that sucks. I would've been mad too. Is Sean not a fan? I hope it works out.

Also, OMG I can't believe you saw Radiohead. Can I ask what year this was?

I really am pissed. I cannot get over it. Sean likes Adam and thinks he is talented but I do not think I would call him a "fan." Sean does not like most of the album (due to the genres of music), which kind of sucks for him because that is all Adam will be playing, obviously. I know he is not going to be having a blast, especially having to sit through those other shitty bands. Oy. I will not be happy myself, having to sit through the others.

As for Radiohead... the first time was June 2006 and the second time was August 2008 (they played 25 songs at that show). I take it you are a fan too? :D

"That sucks" is a serious understatement. At least you get actual seats! Adam's Royal Oak (MI) show (the 6/18 one) is at a venue that only does standing room tickets for music shows (unless I want a seat way up in the balcony, which I do not). I haven't heard anything about his show here being sponsored, and now I really hope it's not.

If your show wasn't the day after mine, hell, I'd drive up there to go with you. XD

But hey, at least you can hear him? Not the same, but...

I think I may have solved my problem and will write about it later. ;)

I hate, hate, hate standing room only. I refuse to go to any SRO shows. The last one I attended was Placebo and that was a huge exception. I have not been to another one since though. I refuse to pay money to be pushed around and stretching my neck for hours on end, not being able to see a damn thing (I am only 5'3"). It is pointless for me to even go to those shows. So I totally feel for you and I am sorry that is the venue they chose. :\ The Molson Amp has seats but everyone stands, so I know I will be stuck standing as well ( ... )

Oo, also, have you heard the new song? Eee, I hope that he plays it. I will pray every night. :P I love it so much.

And you have likely seen this (World's Most Beautiful People shoot): http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/9243/cockatoo.jpg

Just in love.

I think I may have solved my problem. Will write about it later. ;) Thank you for your support, as always. I cannot even tell you how angry I have been today over this!

Adam is not playing anywhere else close by, and I am shocked he is not doing 2 Toronto shows. Most bands either do 2 Toronto shows or add a second show because concerts sell out so quickly here. Even Jann Arden had to add a second show, and she is not super mainstream like some other bands/artists are. It surprised me he only has one show here.

This reminds me of when I went to see System of a Down. An opening band I could care less about, and seats so bad I could barely make out the band members. The music quality was great, in that they put on a good live show, but I couldn't see what they were doing! >:(

Portland has been great, in comparison, for me going to see bands. I got to see VNV Nation for the first time here, and I was maybe 6 people from the stage. I've pretty much decided at this point that I won't go to venues where there are assigned seats now, since if I can't use my tallness to get close, there's no point.

That is EXACTLY how the last Radiohead concert I went to turned out. I could barely see anything because of everyone's heads, but we were also really far away so even if the heads were not there, it was still pointless. I know live music is part of it, but I go to SEE the band too. There is no point otherwise ( ... )

That sucks beyond the telling of it!

I really can't believe they've turned it into a concert with others performing - why couldn't they have just left well alone??

I hope your seats aren't too awful. .but I know how much bad seating ruins the ambience =(

I'd go with you if I could, absolutely ♥
