I cannot begin to recommend this film enough.
This one is as close to "must see science fiction"
as it gets for me. The last one was the first
Matrix film.

Seriously go out and see it.

Interestingly enough, "The Matrix" was what I thought of when I saw it. A "low budget" SF film that came seemingly out of nowhere yet will be remembered longer than your average summer "action flick." I really liked "District 9," perhaps not as much as I thought I was going to, but was glad to see a SF film that was more than just "shoot 'em ups." Once again, we have a movie that shows that you CAN have bucket loads of special effects, action, violence AND a brain; sadly, Hollywood still will not get the message.
