Recently I have been having problems with my cars performance so I took it to a mechanic and he told me there was nothing wrong. He said "You just cant expect to get a whole lot of ecceleration or power out of a Mustang engine". Hope you get to hang out soon. As for the race... if you buy a new pair of sneakers, I like your chances. If, your going to race car to car, then it doesn't count if you beat Marshall with your firebird inside the 18 wheeler.
