alex's friend laura from canada is a circus performer and when we were in the parking lot of spartan 16 she tried teaching me this trick where one person is standing on the other's lap but their weights are counter-balanced so you can let go with your hands. i failed. miserably. elizabeth king, of course, did it flawlessly the first time.
