Yeah, I can probably be bad at this sort of thing too, huh? (acting like Normal Problems are THE END OF THE WORLD OMG, and being bad at comforting) So I may not say it often, but you ARE always in my thoughts.

Good luck on the Real Surgery, if that happens. And ArGH, I hate when other people put eye drops in for me, too...have since I was a wee thing. *shudders* LET mE DO IT MYSELF!

Uh...I don't know what's really going on here, because I'm a complete stranger.
But I am going to Sacramento, California in Americorps!

Yeah I'm just about to graduate from high school in New York (Not the city, mind you. I'm a country boy.) so I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I imagine it was because I was younger that I wasn't accepted right away; I was made an alternate. However, they said about 30-40% of their alternates are pulled up into the program and that's what happened to me! So I guess I'm lucky. This is all really right up my alley, I'm hoping to be a firefighter.
But I'd say...as long as you have a lot of service under your belt already, and are sincere (And not nervous) during your phone interview, you'll do just fine. They're very friendly people, it was great. Best of luck to you!
