Ouch!

Sorry it's taken SO long to get this entry up.  It certainly doesn't have the same flow as when I posted from the road, but the beauty of the area is still due its praise.

I'm also trying to see if I can do this 'cut' thing so it's not a huge waste of space.  I think you just click below on Day 12 and you can read the adventures to Bryce Canyon...  ( Read more... )

Ohh, thanks for sharing! It sounds so beautiful-have to go back and find those pictures I know you posted. That tunnel sounds cool, and hehe, was the motel anything like the seedy dives on the show? The vista you mentioned reminded me of my trip to Sedona. I went to this Church of the Holy Cross? I think, and it's high but you don't have to hike, there are stairs. Lots and lots of stairs :) But the view from the top where you see the red rock formations is like what you were decribing, with the feeling of elevation and seeing that nature can carve what looks almost like human figures into stone. There is one formation called the Madonna and child. This is from memory of three years ago so the name might not be right but it was so beautiful. And by writing about this now you can escape your hectic normal day and remember such a terrific vacation!
