The sun has just set from the window of our B&B in Edinburgh. It was still 10pm and light streamed through the clouds - amazing!

The flight here was long but overall pretty good. Wendy got a migraine, I got a little motion sickness but we traded off being sick ( Read more... )

Still trying to get myself together. The difference is 6 hours and the sun is up really late. It's interesting. Weather has been nice so far!

Martin is adorable and very Scottish. I expect to see him in a kilt at some point!

We had fish and chips and plan that a few more times!

FYI for any of Caroline's readers:

There are multiple websites with information about Leith Walkway, Mather's Bar and John Smith beer mentioned in this first posting. Speaking of beer, one of the popular specialty brews served at a cafe here in Ligonier is "Kilt Lifter." The name sounds Scotish, but it's brewed in California.

Glad you're enjoying yourselves and you got here safely! I had reverse problems crossing the roads in the States - and was even more confused by the "yes you can turn right when the light's red" rule...

Roundabouts? Even we don't understand them.

Have a great time at the castle! Go eat some haggis!
