Work. Sigh.

Work has been *insane* for the last two weeks. I'm knackered. And the rest of this week is looking as bad.

I don't have the stamina any longer!

I so empathise!

Since coworker retired, my desk has been stacked. I get home and want to fall into bed. I think I'm ready to retire too now! Want to join me? Let's go and live in a cabin on a lake in Vancouver.

Big hugs to you. Work is daft at this end as usual, but it's up to me to down tools when I want to and go home. I understand you can't do that right now, which is a huge issue.

Remember we're here for you to yell at if you need to! Plus, I have 4 hours of JB on the DVD drive if you still need it, and have something on Due South too.

Ooooh, big yes to the JB please. What do you have on Due South?

Tonight I got home at 9.45pm. I was so stiff sitting on the train home that I could barely get up when I got to my station. I'm determined to leave early on Friday. And next Tuesday.

Due South is the behind the scenes thing that you asked me for a few weeks ago, and that I forgot to bring with me when I saw you. Oops. JB is the E! thingy. Did you get there?

Leaving early is a good thing. A very good thing. Do you get TOIL ever? Can you arrange to take some anyway? You shouldn't ever have to get in from work so late. I've done plenty of it in my time, so I'm either a really big hypocrite or speaking from too much experience... you decide ;-).

I might be able to take informal TOIL when things quieten down, negotiated with my manager. No, no-one should work 12+ hours a day, but plenty of people do, as you know from experience!

There's no sign of things calming down, right up to the end of March. By which time, I'll be on a big silver bird . . .

Oh, Carole, you poor thing. 9:45 is a dreadful time to get in from work, I know from experience. The worst is that after a while of it little things like getting washing done become momumentally difficult.

I hop it calms down soon.

Oh, yes, it definitely means "I'm too old for this shit!"

Thank you everyone for your supporting thoughts. It really helps.
