Christmas Eve day, 2008
Christmas Eve. Always an exciting and busy day. Winter Solstice
I am one of those people who begin to groan and moan on June 21st, knowing that winter is coming, the days are beginning to shorten & oh dear...the cold & dark days are coming. Crazy, right? Family, my favorite unit.
My grandchildren are so beautiful in body, spirit, and heart. Julie's boys, Kieran and Duncan, are so handsome, so intelligent, so mature (most of the time), so loving and moral. Tis the Season...
It was a beautiful, snowy day. John shoveled the driveway clear, finishing just as the town plow roared past refilling the entrance. Writer's Block: Be Prepared
Earthquakes, hurricanes and such are experienced often enough to give me confidence in my ability to survive. Of course I'm talking about very minor earthquakes & hurricanes during which no trees fell on my house. Zombies are another matter. Zombies are really ugly! Thanksgiving cooking
I just baked the first apple pie of the season. Also a big batch of 'bumblebees', pie dough with butter, sugar & cinnemon rolled up in it & sliced like pinwheels & baked. yum. John has a batch of brownies in the oven now. We're taking these things to Melissa's & Wil's tomorrow for Thanksgiving ( Read more... )
