- I've been so busy at work I haven't even been able to check my email or LJ at lunch. And now I have to get going as I have quite a lot of house cleaning to do. My folks arrive tomorrow night late-ish. They're here through Monday when they leave around 3 p.m.
So far the itinerary is:
Wednesday night: pick 'em up at the airport, probably a visit to the diner if they're hungry
Thursday: I think Dad is in meetings all day, I'm at work - can't even do lunch because I have a lunch meeting. :( Hopefully Mark is free for lunch or one of my friends that she knows is free because she would like that. We'll either have dinner at this cute Italian place my parents found (did you end up going to La Tomate
emarien? Or we'll go to the Quarterdeck for crabs. Mmm...crabs.
Friday: Dad I think has meetings, I have work, Mark is ostensibly off but he might put in some hours at work. I hope to get off work at 4-ish. Dad is supposed to go to a work dinner but I think he will weasel out of it. If he goes to the dinner, then I think I'll have dinner with Mom and Mary Ellen & Danielle maybe. If he doesn't go then we'll go to the restaurant we didn't go to Thursday night!
Saturday: Dad is in meetings until noon. Mom and I are hitting an open air market before noon and then we'll all meet up for lunch. Then who knows?
Sunday: Mother's Day brunch at Acadiana. Then...?
Things we definitely want to do while they're here - go to Trader Joe's (they don't have one in Alaska and I don't go very often as I don't have a car), go to Talbot's (mom loves them), go to the restaurants they want to go to that I listed already, and probably a trip to Target. Other than that, Saturday and Sunday are pretty wide open. Maybe we'll go to Mount Vernon or something.
And I swear my days do not revolve around food, that's just all I have planned so far!
That was longer than I meant it to be....and is mostly for me I guess. I don't think anyone else needs to track my parents. Although you never know....
Man I love ellipses.
