Do any of you strapping DIY enthusiasts out there know of anywhere I can get MDF/ hardboard (?) for shelves made to an exact size? Somewhere local would be great!

Homebase on Green Lanes will cut board down to size for you, but I'm not quite sure how small their saw will go (though I did get the bloke in there to cut me a bunch of A4-sized bits of MDF once, so you'll probably be alright).

You might want to ask in Kac Hardware on Church Street as well, as they tend to be super-helpful.
