Dear Lazyweb..

I have an X ray of my painting which is saved as a TIFF, how do I turn it into a JPG? It won't open in Paint, Windows Picture manager doesn't give me the options of changing the properties. Photoshop CS3 will let me change it into a PDF or Photoshop document only.

Can one of you computer genius types help me out?

Can you not open in picture manager, save as a different format. If you can get it to pdf then you should be able to get something from that step using picture manager (or CS3 for that matter).

Open in Photoshop and check whether you have scanned in 8-bit colour or 16-bit colour. See Image-Mode.
Change it to 8-bit colour and you should be able to save as a JPEG whether it is CMYK or RGB...

I'll take a look at it this evening if you like.
