So awhile back I wrote a fic for the Yuletide New Year's Resolution challenge. It was Colma: The Musical fic, and no one's seen that movie (it's on Netflix streaming, though, just saying) so I didn't mention it here

On one hand, I'd be a little bit squeamish, but on the other hand - dude, he totally said you did a good job! That's got to be like, fanfic heaven right there. You totally did right by the guy who WROTE THEM. He could've freaked out, he could've complained to someone, could've made fun of you, etc etc etc, but he had a really positive reaction. That's so cool.
I am so weirded out you have no idea. But at the same time, yeah, it's super awesome that he actually *liked* it. And implied that I nailed the character voices. I'm equal parts freaked out and over the moon. And glad I could provide him with a tiny bit of fandom for his tiny movie, since he hasn't gotten anything else out of fandom yet.
I will never not be embarrassed by that whole exchange. But at the same time I was really proud of how I wrote those characters, and to have validation from their creator is kind of amazing, ngl.
And to think I almost didn't finish the damn thing.
On the one hand, thank God I skipped the porn. Though on the other hand, it would have been a better story with it. So it's a catch 22, really. But yeah, I'm pretty glad for once that I'm lazy.
Getting there. To be honest I haven't posted or commented in a week because I've been having headaches and zero energy. I've missed a ton of work I couldn't afford to miss, too. I'm finally starting to feel human again, though, so I think the end is in sight.
