This is kind of old hat by now, but I keep forgetting to mention it here, so if you've been lurking but haven't asked for an invite code so you can get your own journal, you should know that invite codes are no longer necessary. So if you want to create a journal of your own for Fun With Icons and non-anonymous ( Read more... )

Thanks. The next parts will be like pulling teeth and I'm sure I'll be whining any day now that I should have given in to the brief, overwhelming urge to kill them both in a car crash on the way to the airport. But then the fic would have been much, much shorter.

It made him feel like a kid on prom night, trying to convince his date's parents that they weren't really doing anything wrong.

Hee! No matter how old you get, you're still a teenager in your parents' eyes, aren't you?

And no matter how good the sex was, Greg is now going to overanalyze this, isn't he?

God, you really never do get over that feeling. At least I haven't, and Nick's only a year older than me.

Of course Greg is going to overanalyze. That's why I'm avoiding him, he's terribly dreary when he's trying to talk himself out of something.

"And just so you know, I didn't have to tell Grissom where I was going."

Eep! *freaks out* More, more! How does Greg react? Ack!

And, really, this is the most awesome fic ever.

Sorry. I might get the next part written tomorrow, if I can get Speed to stop confusing me long enough to let Greg take a shot.

Well, if you take a pause for Speed/Tyler, I wouldn't be totally mad. Because Speed deserves some (non-Greg) lovin'.

God, I adore canon Nick for his overall personality and especially all the subtleties that you're treated to as the series progresses.

That last line is awesome. I'll bet everyone says so, but. It's true. It invokes all the love for Nick that the actual TV show does. This might just be my favorite chapter after the phone conversation where Greg gives in. :)

Thanks. I wasn't sure whether or not to put that last line out there, but now I'm glad I did.

I guess it's true then that some of the greatest artistic successes are borne of the greatest risks. *tries the charming Nick smile*

"He wanted...everything -- more time, a sign that this thing between them was going somewhere, some kind of assurance that Greg felt the same thing he was feeling."

OMG! I just love this fic! Its amazing and its so adorable because its all angsty (yes i know that's the point >.<). Its not too often that there is a good angsty fic out there I enjoy and can get through. *swoons* Just such a great pairing.

Love your writing!!

Thanks. It's kind of Angst Lite, because I can't bear to make them suffer too much. Glad you're enjoying, and I'm glad you got the icon thing figured out : )
