For the handful of you who give a damn about my personal life, the mechanic called to say my timing belt snapped (hence the popping sound, apparently). They're not sure yet how much damage it's done to my engine or how much it's going to cost to repair it, but as I can't really afford a car payment until I finish with grad school, there's not much ( Read more... )

"Not like that. I mean it's easy to get under her skin. It breaks up the monotony on slow nights."

And this is why you write Greg well. I can totally hear his voice, hear him saying the words. See him talking. It's so brilliant it hurts.

I second nekosmuse. This is so so good and I love it and don't you *dare* give up on this because I will be sad if you do. :)

Thanks : ) And not to worry, I'll finish it no matter how much I end up hating it.

I'm ashamed to admit that I was over at ff.net awhile ago. In my defense, there is no fic on my flist for me to read. But still, I was reading Mighty Ducks fic on ff.net and I know better. The phrase 'needle-sharp night' came into play. ::hangs head::

Also, thanks. I'm glad to hear that what I'm trying to do with Nick is getting across. He's admitted what a dork he was in high school, and we never really outgrow that no matter how cool we grow up to be.

Oooh, bit of angsty stuff seeping in there, nice. Felt sorry for Greg though :( Maybe Nick can do something about that eventually ;)

I like to picture Greg heroically restraining himself from just smacking Nick upside the head a lot of the time. I kid. Sort of. I love Nick.

No, it's true. Greg heroically restrains himself from smacking Nick on the show a lot. Well, he did back when they had scenes together.

Man, I love Nick, but sometimes... I love the Greg in this story too. You're just doing an amazing job.

Thanks. Nick is kind of...challenged, I know.

"She's easy."

Bwahaha!! That's so Greg, so hilarious! Wonderfully done. Nick's just bumping into things left and right, isn't he? Poor boy. It sucks when your paradigm shifts like that and leaves you in the dust. The amazing thing is he can make it seem adorable while still seeming inappropriate. A skill that.

Love, love this!

He was such a loser in high school that it's hard to imagine he would have magically grown out of it, you know? Despite his efforts at suaveness, he's always tripping over his metaphorical feet and it amuses me. I'm a bad, bad person.
