Oh! Oh, sweetness and love! I love this. I think I have kind of a crush on J.D. even though I know fuck all about him. Just the idea of him going out there and not even knowing whether he should be there or not and then being relieved and sitting down a little closer than technically necessary. And then when he found out it was Brian's birthday and then that last line? ::swoon:: How fucking sweet and adorable are these two? Is it even legal? I loved this, I wish my regular fic was half as perfect as this "placeholder ficlet". Lovely job, dearest.
Well J.D.'s very crushable. It's the 'poor little rich boy' syndrome, you always fall for that type ; ) Seriously, though, your regular fic is about a thousand times more entertaining than 700 words of fluff I wrote while I was half asleep.
No worries. I understand how it is. I've been swamped with work as well as fannish stuff I've undertaken, which I really shouldn't have. I'm so easy! *g*
Okay, so I had a little time and I checked out the comm and I...don't get it. This ficlet doesn't really fit into any of your posted challenges, so are you just taking whatever fic with COC that people want to post as well? ::is slow and very tired, therefore all confuzzled::
sorry to be off-topic with fandom but has anyone seen any CSI fic that explains why Greg randomly asked Grissom if he'd ever told him that he used to live in New York? I just thought if anyone was bound to have an idea, you would!
I thought Greg had that conversation with Nick. I can't remember the episode, though. At any rate, I haven't seen any fic like that. There's been talk around here somewhere of what Greg was doing in NY, but I don't know of anyone who's written it. I don't read a lot of CSI fic, though.
You know, the reason I ended it there and just left it as a ficlet was because I couldn't decide if Brian would want something porny for his birthday or if that would just make him feel worse. He's a complicated boy, our Brian, and I didn't want to make him feel all weird by rushing into anything.
But the last seven hours of his birthday will most likely never be written, so I guess we can just imagine whatever we want.
