Ficlets: Lost, RPS, WAT, The Day After Tomorrow

First set of drabble-type things, only they're not actually drabbles because I didn't bother paying attention to word count. I don't think these are my best work, but I'm trying to get the writing process going again so I'm trying not to focus too much on perfection. Mostly PG, although that first one skirts R territory just a little ( Read more... )

I'm really glad the Hurley piece came across because that's my favorite one. In fact, there's a part of me that wants to explore the theme further, if only because I've dealt with my own weight problem all my life and know how it defines you even though you try not to let it, and in that respect I can relate to his experience. But that's a topic for another day.

I'm also glad the Danny piece worked, because I really wasn't sure. I worry, you know.

As for Brian and J.D., that poem just popped into my head as I was thinking about first kisses, so I went with it. I don't usually write poetry fic (well, except for that one time. And that one other time.) but they're high school kids so it follows.

Of course we all did. I have all two of the poems I wrote in h.s. somewhere in my office.

Sigh, I loved my Pink Kerr/Fehr.... heee. I think my favorite, however is the Hurley drabble, it just resonates and I've barely watched the show too.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked that one despite lack of canon knowledge. It's a very personal subject so it's good to hear it came across well.

They were all lovely, and my favourite was the one about Danny. Such quiet longing with a tinge of loneliness. You really portrayed so much with so few words.

Thanks, I was most worried about that one so I'm glad it translated for you.

The Hurley drabble made me cry, because of it's beauty and how it hit home...hard.

Aww, I'm sorry, hon. But thanks for reading. I think that's a struggle a lot of us deal with so I'm glad I got it across, although it's sometimes (often) painful to think about.

It's okay really. :) No harm done, I've gotten past most of my weight issues; the bigger the better...isn't that what people are always saying?

Oh! Hurley!

You.. you just... ::flails:: No words for the love. Oh my lord, you just *got* him, and it was so achey and gorgeous and, just... oh, wow.

Thanks, glad you liked. It was your prompt that really made the fic, though. Plus, I relate to Hurley in that way, so it was easy.
