Icon ficlets: CSI, Suicide Kings, Doogie Howser, M.D.

I was feeling kind of woe-is-me last night, but then I went to my sister's house and both her kids climbed up onto my lap for unsolicited snuggles and that made me feel a lot better. Then we drank wine and watched Hot Fuzz on my sister's big screen, which is actually the first time I'd ever seen it outside of my iPod, so that was awesome too.

VINNIE. Aw, now I have to bust out my season 1 of Doogie Howser and watch them cause... well. VINNIE. <3 I loved it, and come to think of it I think this falls totally into the ideas I had when I first watched the show. (I always thought Vinnie was in love with Doogie, shows you how young I started slashing.)

And you totally have me with the Deadliest Catch AU, seriously and absolutely. (I almost said "Hook line and sinker" but yea. I am not that cheesy, right? ;)) I love Avery and I love that you might have possibly put Josh and Jake in there? Or is that my own fantasy kicking in?

NICK AND GREG. I am in love with Nick's arms so it was nice that the fetish got moved along to Greg and OMG. Nick teasing Greg by flexing at the end of it quite possibly just did me in. I can picture the smile on his face, and the crinkle of his eyes and.. <3 Perfect.

Eee! That was awesome! I got a little Jake and Josh AND Brett and Avery all in one go! That's even better than I was hoping for. And since it's a couple months in the future, I can imagine that Brett and Avery have finally gotten over themselves and had sex. But you can still feel free (pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease) to write it, even so. I love your other ficlets too. It's been ages since I thought about Doogie and Vinnie!

It's so LAME to cram them all into one universe, but I can't help myself. Plus, there are only three of us who even care about this universe, so that makes it okay, right? Whatever, I don't even care. I want Avery to hang out with Jake and Josh and drink beers and speak in code about being gay and a fisherman! But only after Jake gets really jealous of Josh befriending Avery. Or maybe Jake befriends him. And they never even know his real name, which is sad. Subterfuge! It's all very exciting.

Yes, this is set after Brett and Avery finally get together, but you really can't skip that part, messy as it will be, so we'll get there eventually. Maybe.

I am all about Vinnie. Not that I am ever going to write Doogie Howser fic again, but if I do, I imagine it will also heavily feature Vinnie.

TOTally! There is jealousy! And then recognition, sort of, saying, hey, this guy is like us, and then there's grilling about Brett, maybe, and then Avery illustrates that he's totally gone on Brett and then there's mockery, but Josh and Jake are pretty gone on each other so nobody can really throw any stones at all.

EXACTLY. I want that scene so much, where Avery's all stupid about Brett and Jake and Josh throw stones in their glass house, and Jake Harris just rolls his eyes at all of them, because he's surrounded by gays and he doesn't know how it happened, but he loves his stupid brother, so he puts up with it.

And then Brett drives all the way to Dutch to pick up Avery and Jake and Josh get to see him and it's awesome. (If I could figure out a way to get them to visit during the off season you know I would totally do it.)

And you know what they say when Brett pulls up?

"Nice hat."
