I have to admit that I haven't watched the episode (well, I saw literally the last minute, you know... when Wendell got that smile on his face that may or may not have made me sound like a guinea pig) but I am weak and can't see that you posted fic with out reading it and ... EEE. Seriously. EEE. Beard burn and Wendell being all nervous that Hodgins might break up with him (that shouldn't be a kink for me, but damn is it. I love someone being completely ready for their SO to break it off, and kind of hurting but bracing themselves for it and then it isn't true. What this says about me I don't even want to know.)
Wow. I got off track with this reply... okay. I loved it. I really did.
And I love you. And I am thinking about you and holding you in my heart. <3
All things considered, this was the first episode I've enjoyed in quite awhile. Somehow I have found my zen place with the break between our universe and canon, and the show sort of played into that last night (they totally co-opted our universe, Liz!), which was pretty awesome, not gonna lie.
I have to work on some original fic for awhile (that's the Rule), but later today I might write the post-midterm beard burn follow-up, because...yeah. I haven't been in the mood to write porn in a long time, so I have to make the most of it while I can.
So I waited until I saw the episode all the way through to comment but OH. MY. GD. Caroline, how awesome is it that they took a bit of our canon and made it THEIR CANON?! I am ... with out words? I mean, seriously after how many years of shows screwing us over and Jossing every thing they VALIDATED IT. And.. AND... Hodgins turned DOWN Angela to go with Wendell. I just. I am. I have no words. Between this and last weeks Criminal Minds I am starting to completely believe that next week CSI is going to have Nick tell Catherine that he isn't changing shifts but he is dating someone in Lab.
Oh Lord, I STILL have not caught up on CM. I read your post about the sunset, even, so I don't know what my problem is. I will do that tonight, maybe.
Anyway! YES THEY TOTALLY STOLE OUR CANON. It's like they were subtly saying, "Yeah, your universe totally rocks and makes so much more sense than this one, but we can never go there so instead we will just give you this TOTALLY AWESOME nod to let you know that we wish we could."

Wendell and Hodgins sitting in a tree. Just saying.
Ooh! This is fantastic! I do need to watch this show. Ugh, netflix, why must you taunt me so? So, if I were to prioritize, should I do Criminal Minds first, or Bones?
Thanks for your email. I am thinking about stuff. About staying home and about talking to j about his thoughts about the race. I know if he had his way I wouldn't run it, because it's going to be hot and I'm going to get dehydrated (unless I carry my own water supply, like a camel) and he's overprotective anyway. This just makes it worse.
Well if you do decide to run it and you don't already have one, it might not be a bad idea to look for a CamelBak at your local sporting goods store. Makes it easier to carry your own water supply hands-free.
As for shows, it depends what you want to watch. Bones is more lighthearted and silly, though the first two seasons are also quirky and interesting. Criminal Minds is darker and more serious, pretty heavy and sometimes depressing, but really well written. The writing is suffering lately, since Hollywood is firing all the good writers to save money, but for the first three seasons it was solid.
That's no help at all, of course. Wendell doesn't even turn up until season four of Bones, though, and if I'm being unbiased about pairings, CM is the better show.
Well, okay, pairing-wise, which do you prefer? Bones? But I'd have to wait until season four to even see this guy? I don't know, my friend Dave at work recommends Bones too, though I've never asked him about Criminal Minds, so who knows. I also can't exactly ask him which is more slashy. Damned job
( ... )
Pairing-wise, CM is way slashier. Way, waaaay slashier. Last night's episode aside, the thing that truly rocks about Wendell/Hodgins is the AU Liz and I have created for them. It is almost entirely independent of the show, and Hodgins isn't actually that slashy at all. Which is a first for me, because you know I am usually all about the realism.
I am going to say only this about that, and then I will take it back to e-mail: I had a feeling that was why you were waffling, and if your brother gives you shit I will drive up to Duluth and drop kick *him*. And I work out a LOT, so I could do it. There is no way it is not understandable, given the situation. He's a guy and they're dumb about stuff sometimes, but his wife would probably smack him around anyway. (Also, can't she step in? She's a runner.)
I was going to say something else. Maybe it will come back to me if I open an e-mail.
I've missed them, too...it's been awhile since Wendell was on the show, I got about ten times more interested in the episode last night when I saw him (and I was already 100% interested anyway...)
