Hello, Caro! Good to see you again. I'm still here, but lurking mostly. Everyone else is moving to DW since LJ announced their new Terms of Service, which state that everything now falls under Russian Law. And we know how kindly they take to slash and other homo-erotic ideas -- which is not at all.
Hello darling! Atm I'm trying to import content from lj to dw, so I can figure out what to do with my account. My import keeps failing, which is driving me nuts! I mainly use lj for some fanfic storyfinder sites; many of them seem to have begun joining the exodus because of slash content. If they all migrate, I will definitely close my account here. After all, I'm silent unless commenting to other people. All the personal accounts I follow are all available either on dw or on fb now.
yay! are you thinking of migrating too? i feel like a hobbit coming home to the shire, only to meet all the other hobbits with their belongings on their backs, leaving!
i got nostalgic! but i heard a lot of bad news about this place? i did miss lj (and the hp fandom) tho! are you only on lj or also on ie tumblr? or twitter? or...?
Only also on Facebook. I don't have the energy to do Twitter as well, and I don't really get why Tumblr. But yes, LJ is a shadow of its former self, which makes me sad, but I was a diarist before LJ so I keep doing what I've always done.
I was quite surprised after book 7 when HP fans moved on to other fandoms. I had never been a fan like that before, so I didn't realize you could move on! And I didn't.
every now and then i pick up one of my hp wips and it feels so much better to write-maybe because its different to have also read the characters you write about.
i'm a fannibal for now, mainly because i adore mads mikkelsen and hugh dancy but i cant say my writing improved. it's fun-but...i'll try keep this place around but will also try get a new dw password (locked myself out of my account ages ago!)
