Playing "I Spy" with all the ornaments on the tree
Driving around listening to Christmas music and looking at Christmas lights
Putting cookies and milk out for Santa and carrots and a bucket of water out for his reindeer (I know I'm a little old for that, but I still do it every year)
Calling all my family members that I can't be with for the holidays
setting up the tree and angels (small porcelain ones that belonged to my great aunt)
stockings first, then coffee cake, and THEN presents. the permanent order. :)
retelling stories of Christmases past
calling or visiting whichever parent has to work that day (as they both work in a hospital) to play some Christmas carols on instruments with my sisters
setting up the christmas tree at home and keeping the ornaments high enough off the ground that the dogs wouldn't eat them (no tinsel for the same reason) ;)
spending the days at my grandparents' house with my family flying in from around the country
putting up the stockings with Grandpa on Christmas eve
waking up early and opening my stocking with my Dad (and sometimes Aunt Helen) being the only other people up and then eating Bill Knapp's coffee cake
waking up my Uncles from California (who have jet lag) so we could open presents and getting to be "Santa" (pass out the presents)
going to see a movie in the afternoon and having a big, nice (afternoon)dinner with my Aunt Dot coming up from Kalamazoo to join us

I liked turning on the tree lights and sitting underneath, smelling the pine and watching the lights twinkle.
I always enjoyed making cookies, and eating the dough
Oh, and I liked getting to bring all the pets inside (well, cats and dogs separetly) to give them their presents!
