Okay, so sometimes I read Inception fic when I get linked to it/someone I know posts it (all of you get your butts over to celestineangelI feel like I missed part of the movie when I was being distracted by pretty, particularly regarding Eames. Now, I know it's a movie canon, so you have to shove in a lot of characterization into a very short time slot ( Read more... )

I'm assuming that since you just recced me that I'm not as annoying with the 'darling' issue?

Because I try not to be. Yes, I use it, but you're right, there are some Inception fic authors who overuse it, and I try not to.

And well, those of us who ship Arthur/Eames hardcore (as you know I do) use more than just that one scene. We use a basic "their snark and condescension totally means they love each other!!!" line of reasoning, as well as "Go to sleep, Mr. Eames" said with such obvious affection. Because it was so totally obvious.

(Unlike a lot of hardcore shippers, I am capable of making fun of myself.)

Also, thanks for the rec. :D

Partly, and because you're in general a good writer, if I can flatter you.

I don't have a problem with people shipping them because of a few lines, honestly. Honestly, I think that you should ship characters for the sole reason that you can. XD I guess I can see people liking it because of the dynamic of Seriousface Guy/Chaotic Neutral Lol. And because, you know, they're pretty men in nice clothing, though really you could say that of the entire main cast.

No problem!

"Seriousface Guy." XD XD XD Such a seriousface, Arthur. XD

Men is suits... yuuuum.... Though, another thing in the fandom is that apparently Eames is a terrible dresser? :/ Eh?

Well, I guess he doesn't dress as nicely as, say, Arthur, Saito, Mal, or Fischer? Two of whom are multi-billionaires, and one of whom is a figment of the main character's imagination? He seemed pretty fashionable to me, but maybe I just don't have that great a sense of fashion?
