me too.

and when they last shot of John walking away I had this phrase running through me head:

"... I have been to loud.... time to go into the shadows..."

Oh yes, poor John, just when his life finally seems right, THIS happens.

Hee, should I congratulate you on being able to get properly depressed now? *g* I loved it and the final few minutes totally killed me. And I'm not usually the one to shed tears while watching a TV show, no matter how much I love it.

I can't get over how perfect Martin's portrayal of John is. I don't know what had a greater impact on me, him believing Sherlock even when it's Sherlock lying to him, or just, well, the whole scene at the grave in general, but the I was so alone line in particular...

Titanic can go and hide forever under the sea.
Hah, this! They reached for each other! ♥

Yes, you should absolutely congratulate me on that. :D No, seriously, I was hoping for so much angst, that when by the end of first watching it didn't hit me, I REALLY was disappointed. But then when I separated my expectations from the real story it finally worked, oh and how it worked.

Martin is just, I don't know, I have no words for his acting there. It's just the same with Ben, I don't think there's ever been a more accurate casting when it comes to Sherlock and John. And that line, honestly, it just shows how miserable John's life had been and is gonna be, now that Sherlock's gone (if they stick to the canon and make it three years, then it's basically a lifetime).

The gif! Beuatiful!

Do you usually seek out spoilers and read other people's comments before you watch things on your own? I very rarely do and am generally quite strictly spoiler-free. Because I made bad experiences with getting too hyped about something and then the actual episode being a disappointment.

I rewatched the episode yesterday and that moment when they reach for each other killed me. As well as Sherlock crying. Guh, it is so powerful. Those two, they are incredible. All the little nuances and facial expressions, and all those scenes where just a raised eyebrow or a tiny twitch of the lips can reveal so much...

One thing I noticed during my rewatch is that John is limping again when leaving Sherlock's grave... Oh this show :(

I have to agree with you about Mycroft. I didn't quite notice the first time I watched the episode, but yesterday he seemed off to me as well. I hope there's some hidden agenda we'll find about in 3.01.

That conversation with Molly broke me heart. Repeatedly. And then stomped on it. And then set it on fire. MOLLY <33333333333

And, Jesus, Martin Freeman. ALL THE AWARDS. Actually, that goes to both of them. But that scene by the grave was just amazing, and I loved that John, before walking away, turned around military-style. It was such a little detail, but I utterly loved it.

I KNOW. This show just does it, breaks your heart with those small details pointing how miserable the characters really are - Molly with her dead father and spending Christmas alone, Mycroft being completely alone, not even counted as one of the three people closest to Sherlock, Lestrade and his wife cheating on him... It goes on and on and if you stop just for a second to think about it, it blows your mind with angst.

turned around military-style
YES. Yes, I've noticed it too, it was beautiful.

(Och, i przepraszam strasznie za spamowanie twittera wczoraj spoilerami, powinno się mnie zamykać w trakcie takich faz.)

That was just really great 90 minutes of television. I know Moffat has his issues (like, a lot of them), but they really pulled it off, and it was very satisfying.

(Wyłączyłam potem, żeby się nie zaspojlerować przypadkiem, więc no problem. Also, jak trafisz na jakiegoś epickiego fix-it fika po tym finale, to rzucaj linkami.)

When Mycroft admitted he kind of screwd up, I was like "WTF?!" Mycroft in the canon was smarter than Sherolock - he said that himself! - and he WAS British government. I just do not belive that he would told hist brother's life story to some kind of psycho.

ALL THE AWARDS FOR MARTIN FREEMAN, fucking flawelss. And Molly was awesome, so awesome, and Sherlock telling her that se does indeed matter war brilliant.

Exactly, they kinda fucked him up, unfortunately. And they were doing such a great job in the Scandal.

Yeah, I really hope that Sherlock - the tv show in general as well as the cast - will finally be trully appreciated, they do deserve all the awards.

Yeah I wish so too. Thank God Idris Elba won this year for "Luther" Golden Globe, he deserved this freaking award!

I am hardly ever so enthusiastic either, but my God, what this show does to me is just beyond my own imagination.

Yes, I also wish there was some way to bring him back, but I'm afraid they are going to follow canon here :( Though I really wouldn't mind even some completely ridiculous twist of turns and surprise! Jim isn't dead after all.
