It's really sad that there are UMs who don't even know who John Wesley was. I think they even made reference to him in an X-Men cartoon for crying out loud (I'll see if I can find the clip)!

But I also don't understand how people can't understand the different between Austria and Australia. More children left behind, I guess.

omg YES. I want to cry when I meet UMists who hold opinions totally counter to Wesleyan theology.

I think they should teach Wesleyan theology along with Bible stuff in Sunday school or something. "Multitask," if you will. Maybe that would be a good way to get it out there because I don't ever remember discussing John Wesley at all in church, just at home. Although the minister at UMCB does a good job of working Wesleyan stuff into his sermons, that makes me happy. :-)
