You know, the funny thing about all the snow Denver gets is that we're the Mile High City, which means it melts fast. And I don't think the weather affects from the mountains are anywhere near as bad as lake effect weather. So really, Cleveland has *much* worse weather than we do.

Memphis sales tax - I think TN has some oddities with their taxes. I want to say they have no state tax, or something? I'll have to ask my dad. Memphis is also a generally depressed area. More of the big music studios/stars are in Nashville.

I also don't understand why people live in Detroit. Or New Jersey. Or parts of Northern Colorado. I agree with you in that I think people get tied to a geographic area, thus they accept certain conditions. Or they've just always lived there and are afraid of leaving.

Huh, I didn't know that snow melts faster in higher altitudes, or that Memphis isn't doing well. Learn something new every day, I guess.

I'm just surprised Detroit and Flint didn't make it higher up the list, given the confluence of crime and economic woes.
