i met alice hoffman once. i told her that julian cash was one of my most favourite characters from literature, and she smiled. then, after a minute or two, said, "you are very well versed in my books." and i said, "yes, miss."
lol. it was an odd and wonderful exchange, and she and her assistant, i think, both wondered if i was a stalker or an alice hoffman obsessed fan.
the former, no, the latter, maybe. :)

I just bought the Mermaid book at Borders. The store closing sale gave pathetic discounts (10%? They could have done that at any time and they might still be in business) but I saw it was yours and I had to buy it.
