Oh man I feel you on #21. It's so hard to make friends! People our age, who haven't moved far from where they spent their friendship-crucible mid-twenties, have no need for new friends right now. I went to a meetup group the other week, and joined a book club, but damn it's hard. :( We gotta hang out more though! Because we are friends and we totally live in the same country!!
Another nod to #21. In my 5.5 years here in Portland, outside of becoming friends with Aaron's friends, I didn't actually find people I really loved being around until about Year 4, and the meetup was fairly random, all because a common connector (an older couple in their 60s) felt like we would all get along well, so they purposely arranged a meet-and-greet luncheon at their house. And that's how we have our group of 6+1 (Baby Leo being the +1 now). If it wasn't for that chance gathering, I'm not sure we would have a solid group of friends now. Extracurricular activities do help - we continue to meet new and interesting people from my ballet and leadership program connections.
I'll counter C's point though about people our age who haven't moved far because I feel like everyone I know (who has moved far away or not at all) are all looking for new friends. We're just too shy to admit that we're all in the same boat.
