My mom called today to tell me how proud she is of me. The reason, you ask? Twice this month, Mike and I got up at 4:00 am to catch a bus to DC. The first was to protest the Guantanamo Bay detainment camps. That was a really cool protest--very artfully planned. Good for you guys. I'm thinking I should probably protest or take some kind of action, just to do SOMETHING. I had heard about the rally last weekend but forgot about it.

There's another big march in Washington on March 17th (marking the 4th anniversary of the start of the war, which is actually March 20th). I'm really torn, because I think it's really important to go, but it's ON St. Paddy's Day. I mean, what were they thinking?!

Maybe we'll make a weekend of it, and try to find a pub after the march? Phil's from Murphy Brown looked Irish...
