The rest of Kyuhyun's week was spent dissuading Kibum from going to church, asking Zhoumi about weird blood cravings, and thinking about Sungmin's grin. Seriously, he'd led a more peaceful life before he enrolled himself in school.

"When did you start feeling blood thirsty, hyung?" He had asked, watching Zhoumi prim himself in front of the mirror. He could be such a diva sometimes.

"Well, a few months before I turned fifteen! Around your age now.. Hey, don't tell me you're feeling blood thirsty already?" Zhoumi was in front of Kyuhyun instantly, looking as interested and excited as a twelve year old girl.

Kyuhyun let out a relieved sigh. "Well, yeah I am. Thank god you have too, i was worried I may become Heechul the Second!"

"Nah, Heechul's thirst for blood is an abnormal condition. Good people like you and I do not have such conditions. Now, the thirst and the urge will get stronger overtime, mine was so strong that I had to do my First Killing the second day I turned fifteen!"

Kyuhyun was reminded of Zhoumi and his First Kill, a little girl with a extraordinarily loud voice. He almost went deaf after being subjected to the girl's screams and pleas.

A comfortable silence settled between them. Zhoumi turned back to the mirror again, checking his face for any blemishes. This was a reason why Kyuhyun liked Zhoumi's company the best. In this house, he was the only person with whom Zhou Mi could hold a conversation. Leeteuk let his emotions control him too much, Heechul.. Well, Heechul was Heechul, Yesung's stare creeped Kyuhyun out, Shindong couldn't talk for five minutes without stuffing his face, and Kibum practically shoved snark in his face everytime Kyuhyun tried to talk to him. If it weren't so childish, he would have called Zhoumi his best friend. But of course, best friends were for snotty nosed kindergarten toddlers, and Kyuhyun simply settled on calling Zhoumi 'good company'.

---

Sunday came faster than ever. Kyuhyun briefly considered tying Kibum to his bed for the day, then decided against it. That guy's arm muscles would definitely overpower Kyuhyun. He didn't want to be the one tied to his bed.

He swooped down to the front door to meet Kibum. "Where're you going?" He glared accusingly, as though that would ?make Kibum change his mind.

Kibum simply pulled out a pair of ear plugs. "Happy? Now let go of me."

Kyuhyun gaped with his mouth hanging ajar for ten seconds. Heaving his shoulders in defeat, he retreated into the house. So be it. Let that guy go.

---

Kyuhyun was awoken from his nap by a frantic knocking at the door. Grumbling, he flew down to the door and opened it, ready to hurl insults at the person who was disturbing his sleep.

"Kibum fainted in church, oh my god Kyuhyun you've got to come right now, he's shaking and trembling and making weird noises!" A flustered looking Sungmin flapped his arms around helplessly.

A few minutes later, they were both on the way to church, Sungmin jogging a little to keep up with Kyuhyun's large strides. And once again, Sungmin's chatter filled the entire journey.

"Yknow Kyu, I think your house has something dying in it. Or maybe dead. It smells all funny and disgusting, like ten of Hyukkie's feet stuffed into a phone booth with you in it. Maybe you guys should speed up the cleaning. Do you need my help? I could go over and tidy the place up. I am a neat person, yknow, although Wookie's the only one cleaning up at home. My room's really clean and neat, though. As you have seen."

Kyuhyun realised, after knowing Sungmin for a week, that one needed to block out all of his constant brainless chatter in order to stay sane around him.

When they reached the church, they found Kibum in the same state as when Sungmin had left. Or maybe worse. Kyuhyun's eyes widened in horror when he saw the priest praying for Kibum, lips murmuring gentle words and palms smoothering his forehead. Holy fuck.

Before he could control himself, Kyuhyun burst through the crowd and shoved the priest away. "I'll bring my brother home, thanks for everything!"

Kyuhyun half dragged, half carried Kibum out of the church. He didn't want to be exposed to prayer himself.

Once they were about fifty metres away from the church, Kyuhyun helped Kibum to his feet. "Can you walk?" he asked worriedly. God knows he would never be able to carry Kibum all the way back; he would die of exhaustion.

Kibum mumbled something and Kyuhyun slung Kibum's arm around his shoulders, using his hands to support Kibum's waist. He had to bring him home, where the hyungs would be able to help him.

---

"Oh my fucking -"

"Hyung. Don't. Swear. Help. Me." Kyuhyun's words came out in short pants. Passing Kibum over to Shindong and Zhoumi, he collapsed onto the floor, drinking in great gulps of air.

"I think he was subjected to prayer for about.. Half an hour?" Heechul swore when he heard that.

"Stupid Teukie's out for too long tonight. But it's okay, I know what to do now." Heechul pursed his lips, looking thoughtful as he marched towards the kitchen purposefully.

---

"Kibum-ah. Kibum!" Kibum groaned as he heard someone calling him. Forcing his eyes open, he saw a worried looking Heechul and Zhoumi.

"Drink up." Heechul ordered, shoving the glass into his hands.

"Wha.. What's this?" Kibum sniffed at the glass in his hands suspiciously. He nearly gulped down the whole cup before he froze. And stared at Heechul.

"Blood?" Heechul shifted uncomfortably.

"Yah.. It's from my personal stash! You should be honoured!"

"No." Kibum lay back down on his bed and shut his eyes again. Heechul rolled his eyes at the guy's obstinate behaviour. Seeing that Leeteuk had returned, he hurried out of the room to talk to him.

"Looks like he needs hot, fresh blood as temptation. But we can't bind it up, lest Kibum suspects anything."

Kyuhyun overheard their conversation. He decided to do something about it, before Kibum really died. Kibum needed to taste fresh blood soon.

---

"Hi Sungmin." Kyuhyun sighed as Sungmin opened the door. He had been hoping his brothers would be at the door.

"Hi Kyu! How's Kibum? We were so worried when he fainted just now, Henry's been crying for the past hour -"

"Sungmin, I need to bring Henry to Kibum. Now. He needs to see him, now."

Sungmin's grin slid off his face. "You mean he..."

"Yes, he may not make it. Chronic disease. Henry, now."

Henry padded out to the living room, eyes still red from crying. He sniffled when he saw Kyuhyun at the door.

"Henry, I need you to see Kibum with me now." Kyuhyun's urgent tone made Henry's face turn pale.

---

He didn't know how he managed to be such a good liar. Kyuhyun glanced at the scared boy next to him. It might be the last time he would see him as a human...

Just one bite. That was all Kibum needed to survive. Henry didn't have to die, although he won't be the same anymore. He would become one of them.

But Kibum, that ridiculously stubborn idiot, he needed this to survive. And live on. That was all that mattered to Kyuhyun.
