Something has been weighing on me - and today that weight was lifted, it feels so wonderful.  In early September I had my 6 month appointment with the cardiologist and they had me do a halter monitor.  I was feeling no evidence of a fib, so the monitor showing a fib really threw me for a loop.  They upped the dosage of my heart medicine and had me ( Read more... )

ah the holder monitor, my Draco has had to wear one of those many times, he's got a yet undiagnosed heart condition, so I can sympathize. I gave up caffeine, and He never touches the stuff, I prefer ginseng tea now anyway.

Draco so has my sympathy, it is bad enough having the condition, but not knowing exactly what the cause is must be awful. You give him such wonderful support...having been thru all this alone, I know what it must mean to him to have you with him through it all. Giving up caffeine isn't hard for me at all, I have various herbal teas I love and when I get the urge for something hot, milky and sweet I either have malt Ovaltene or Postum.

I love Royal Vitality Tea from Yogi Teas ... it gives energy but not the jittery kind like caffeine does.

Going through this alone, as he did before we found each other, is so trying, I do understand and hope things get easier for you.

That's good news that there was no fib. While I realize you had to give up coffee, tea and chocolate for your health - what torture!

If I had to give up coffee, I'd cry. I only drink it in the morning (about 5 fluid cups total in my huge insulated mug), but it's a requirement if I want to wake up.

Good news! I have palpitations and wore a Holter for 30 days to track it. Turned out to be nothing but "normal" palpitations that are brought on by stress, mostly. I'm glad you are OK.
