"She wouldn't have been taken away," Elurin insists to himself while his brother is debating hypotheses with the man who calls himself Utena's father. "She just wouldn't."

That leaves him wondering, and his eyes stray to the window, in case his friend shows up.

He might instead, though, be distracted by another friend, of course.

Looking for Alice! :-)

Alice wanders in, looking around, examining the situation, eyes wide as usual. The crowds bother her a little, but she's so curious as to what may be happening that her discomfort has taken a back seat to wonder.

She sees Elurin then, and waves, shyly.

Elurin waves back and crosses the distance. There's something in the way he moves that seems to say he wants to hug her, but he stops short.

"Alice," he says, instead. "I'm glad you're here."

Relieved.

"Really?" she says, sounding surprised. "What's going on?"

He's spoken to others, is deeply worried about his adopted daughter, despite having great confidence in her ability to defend herself. If the Warden did this....

... and he would have motive, would he not, the braggart! He is quietly experiencing a strange mix of sadness and anger, and is brooding away from the crowd, playing with a quill which he feels is useless, now.

He could use some comfort.

Looking for Fuchsia, in particular! Anyone is welcome to poke him, though :-)

Fuchsia's other suitor vanished. First, she lost one to her own stupidity, and another to -- she doesn't know what. There are no more letters filled with literal rainbows.

It has been months, positively months, since Fuchsia's written anything so much as her name on a piece of paper. She's even taken to reading these strange books called encyclopedias, rather than novels. Maybe, one day, she won't be such an idiot.

There's little colour on her. Her dress is beige, her face is wan, and her hair is rather flat (yet messy -- one cannot expect too much from her). The brightest thing about her is her name.

She has absolutely no intention of running into anyone. One might wonder why her own name hasn't appeared amongst the missing.

He may have been angry with her, but he does not hate her, and so he will cross the distance.

By the looks of her, she is bereft, and while he muses it may be because the Warden is missing...

... "Madam?"

He still feels betrayed.

He's still chivalrous.

Ah, Cyrano.

Fuchsia startles at the voice. At least her jumpiness indicates some form of life.

"Sir!" She does not use his name, as if it's been banned from her vocabulary.

"I'm sorry," Fuchsia starts with that, figuring he's only speaking to her to tell her she's done something wrong. "I'm going. I swear."

Having spotted the crowd and wondering if she should be worried about 11-12, Bridget, and Remy, Helen is pacing. She noted that Harumi and Aramat didn't show up for their sessions, but that is something a shrink comes to expect, in such a practice.

Now, though, she wonders if they shouldn't be placed on the list of missing people.

Hoping to see Helen of Troy, Remy, 11-12 and Bridget, but anyone is welcome to poke!

"I can't say it is always so conspicuous," Helen replies after she's greeted Stacker properly. "There are those who seem to have found a way to leave - and there was a quake which took many at once, in a violent way. This is... new, though."

Other!Helen (heh) comes over, then, wondering what all the fuss is about.

"You look worried," she notes, frowning a little.

Guinevere's response to Yukio's disappearance is strange: though she is quite sad to see her friend is gone, she is also quite unsurprised. It seems things are oftehn this way at the Mansion.

Still, if her friend was hurt, she wants to know - and she will be frowning quietly in the background, trying hard to think about what she can do.

She's frustrated that her options are so limited.

She's noticed him - the lovely scoundrel who was kind to her, once.

Kindness, she always remembers, as though it were a rarity.

"Good man," she says, smiling softly. "It is good to see that you remain."

Helen may be nearby, and notices Gwen's concern.

"Are you all right?" she asks, stepping towards her new acquaintance (or perhaps she's a friend, but Helen doesn't want to assume too much).

Caranthir has no idea what's going on, but elven ears have alerted him to the commotion from a long ways away, and so he ventures closer.

He's just leaning against a wall, away from the crowd, and eavesdropping (though it's not visible to humans, of course.)

He could be interrupted, though.

Stephanie doesn't know anyone is missing. It's really completely chance when she comes upon Caranthir eavesdropping. Not that she realizes that either. He's just the guy she met ages ago -- well, the elf.

"Hey, I know you! Did you ever finish your brew?"

"Aye, and the erudamned thing turned, and was lost," Caranthir grunts back at the cheery redhead.

"Be grateful that I offered you none, woman."

Helen is nearby, because a crowd here in this strange place she's found herself obviously means something, and she's curious, and there is that tall, dark not-quite-a-stranger who saved her from the shadows that time.

She may look in his direction, hoping to catch his eye.
