Same here, really. I'm mostly just interested in the ideas, though, and how they came about. Buddhism's a good one. Siddhartha was a pretty cool guy. I can't get into Christianity, though. Then again, it was presented to me by my parents in such a way that it left a bad taste in my mouth that I can't get rid of.
It's in a number of religions. I think it's mostly pertaining to Islam, but I could be wrong. In Calvinism, it was believed that a woman could only reach God through her husband. Nice, convenient way to keep women subservient to men. I suppose that Christianity in and of itself is alright. I think it has some good ideas, but I don't particularly agree with a number of them. And it seems that the only time that you really see it is when it's being abused, which can color the opinion of it. Yes. It was shoved down my throat. A lot. Both of my parents are die-hard-born-agains. My father lives in the fear that somewhere, somehow, someone is having a good time.

Also, question 30 on my quiz: Men were created for God; women for men.
*shudders* I'm not familiar with which religion that would come from because I've never heard of that specific "rule", but it was disturbing to read.
