I honestly didn't think it was possible for anyone to snore in perfect tune, but Lorne pulled it off with such a natural talent. Thing is, it wasn't cute when I was trying to sleep in. Sighing to myself, I lifted his limp arm off of me and slid out from underneathe it. He let out a groan and flipped over on his other side. I figured I would let him ( Read more... )

I woke up, and glanced over at Willow, who was still sleeping. She's gorgeous when she sleeps. I love watching her just breathe. It's beautiful.

I would have sat there watching her, but I realized I needed some blood. Bad. I guess we overdid it last night or maybe I just had forgotten to drink some yesterday altogether. My memory is filled with naked Willow at the moment and not much more.

I quietly get out of bed...Connor's not even awake right now. Perfect. I make my way quietly out of the room and downstairs. I'm so focused I almost miss my sister sitting behind the desk.

"Hey. Good Morning." I tell her. "I'd talk more, but I need blood." I then headed into the kitchen to pour myself a glass.

"Hey, wait up!" I called to him as I got up from sitting and went after him down the hall. I caught up to him, walking a couple paces behind. "Sleep well?" I asked him, conversationally, my voice slightly nervous.

"I sure did, except for the snoring demon, heh," I yammered on, continuing to follow him to the kitchen, "But I always find that I sleep so well here, you know? Maybe it's the architecture, or the fact that it's so quiet here, or maybe because I feel at home. My apartment back in New York was always so loud and noisy, and Mrs. Jones above me just had so many damn cats."

Yeah, I was rambling worse than Fred at any given moment, but I couldn't help it. The fact that he didn't really seem to be listening to me didn't make it much easier. But you know vampires. Sometimes they get so one track minded when it came to blood. Not that I would know or anything.

I walked into the kitchen with Kathy at my heels like, well, an annoying little sister. It had been so long since I had that. It made me smile a little. But I also wondered, since we hadn't had many conversations and the last time she was this talkative she had broken something of mine, can't remember what now, and didn't want me to know about it. She was always horrible at hiding the truth.

"It is a quiet place, at times. I did sleep well last night, that doesn't happen often." I said, then paused for a moment as I got some blood out of the fridge. "Uh, you want some blood too? And you want to tell me what you did and get it over with or continue to yammer on like nothing's wrong?"

Okay, so it was a little mean to put her on the spot like that, but I'm not stupid, and after the night I've had, I'd forgive her for just about anything right now. I'm in a good mood, what can I say?

"Blood?" I asked him. "Oh, uh no thanks, I just had nearly half a pot of coffee." I gave him a weak smile. To be perfectly honest, the very thought of drinking blood now made me feel a little ill. It wouldn't even keep me alive, and I didn't need to drink it.

I watched him carefully as he drank his own, idly fidgeting with my watchband. Lucky for me, he appeared to be in a good mood, but he was on to me. He knew I was here for a specific reason.

"There's... nothing wrong," I said to him, conversationally. "I just.. I just wanted to talk, that's all. You and me? We've been so caught up with you know, everything that goes on around here, and we just haven't really talked.. about.. stuff. No brother/sister time, you know?"
