My mom taught me a new recipe for salsa, and then gave me all the ingredients from her garden. Throughout the last couple of years I've started to like really spicy food. I have no idea what the little black peppers are, which are actually more of a deep purple, kind of like eggplant, but they are super spicy. Probably more so than serranos ( Read more... )

At one point earlier this year I decided to get a reflective bike light that I can just clip onto the back of my backpack since it was on sale. I was surprised by how bright it was. Several months ago, when I was on ObGyn, I was scrubbed in for a transvaginal hysterectomy. My job was to provide gentle traction on the uterus with some instrument not unlike a pair of barbecue tongs. Slowly, the surgeon cut around the uterus from the other end.
