Brrrrrr!  Sure, 17F would be a brisk fall day in Kiruna, but here in the DC area it feels like death. Probably because we don't have approrpiate clothes for this weather.  I took the kids to Chuck E. Cheeses and we were only in the cold for about 3 minutes total from outside our door to into the car, then out of the car and into the restaurant, but

I'm glad you posted about your plans for the Women's March because I knew you were going but didn't want to post on your FB page in case you had filtered that info on purpose. I want to go but logistically it's kind of daunting and the fact that there's no way to know what the weather will be like this far out makes me leery of making any plans. I also thought about taking Ingrid, who at 15 is old enough to actually be seriously affected by all of this and old enough to start being aware of how to be active in this fight, but even she would find it boring I think and if it's cold, forget it. Plus it turns out that weekend is in the middle of her mid-term exams so that's out for sure

Thank you for the link! I intuitively felt like I shouldn't be filling out anything that told them anything about me. I can see them asking for a headcount, but nothing else. This is even worse than I imagined, though.

You would be very welcome to ride with us or meet up with us if it is in the cards. We'd love to have you! Or at least I would. . . my other friends would love it, they just don't know it yet! I understand the logistical challenges, though.

I think I would give up if I had to get two into warm clothes and into and out of the car!

I'm still trying to decide whether to go. I've got a job that weekend, though, so it may not be possible. Also, I hate dealing with crowds and it's likely to be crazy.
