i just heard that "they" are urging pregnant women to get the swine flu vaccine.
uh, that would weird me out if i was pregnant.
would you get a vaccine while you were pregnant considering vaccines contain live viruses?!

I'm all for vaccinating my kids if I ever have them. But, I think the whole Swine Flu thing is such a Hot Topic now that they might be putting the cart in front of the horse on this one. There was ONE DEATH of a pregnant woman and they are saying that pregnant women are more suseptible (sp!) to this flu. AND, the woman in question had an "underlying medical condition".
I want a baby, but all of this just makes me scared!

When Emily was pregnant her doctor recommended the flu shot because she worked with kids. I wouldn't take it because I'm not really exposed to a lot of people. He did suggest the (thermosyl?) mercury free one. She had to make a couple of calls and found the right one at the local CVS.

Don't worry about the swine flu vaccine. I would not get it if I were pregnant. I didn't get the seasonal flu vaccine when I was pregnant either. Just didn't feel the necessity.
