Finding Heroes
This is what I post around Sept. 11 of every year. I am so sorry if you’ve read it before. A lot of things have changed in my life in 16 years. I went from being a newspaper reporter and city councilor to a newspaper editor to unemployed to a novelist. But how I feel about heroes will never change.

Rohingya refugees are pouring into Bangladesh from neighbouring Myanmar. Thousands from the mostly muslim ethnic group are making the long trek from Rakhine state saying that the Myanmar army is razing whole villages to the ground.
