Hope I'm not the only one of us to agree with Simon that Jordin Sparks wiped the floor with Blake tonight. The girl's got some serious pipes. Amazing. I actually voted 3 times.

I hate to go against you Carrie, but I don't think it would be good for Idol to turn out another "singer" when what really makes it in the industry are "entertainers." Blake just has more charisma. Its Reuben/Clay II, really. Reuben was no doubt the better singer, but Clay actually has the better career now. Win or lose, no one will remember the name Jordin Sparks in 5 years. Just one man's opinion.
Wow, I cannot believe how into AI people are. I keep thinking that it is a fad TV show that will blow over, and I am constantly surprised that it does not.
Of the singers, I think Jordin was my pick out of the last few that were on there (I only watched one night due to laziness with the TV controller), and I was really not into Blake at all. Such is life, I just did not find Blake to be particularly musical or entertaining.
That aside, I think there is a place for both musicians and entertainers. I disagree with the previous comment that AI should not be turning out singers -- I just think that it may be a harder road for those who lack the entertainment talent.
