I can't help but wonder now, if Robyn hadn't miscarried, whether experiencing something like that, as a parent, would have made up for the years of crying, diaper changing, sleepless nights, and brattiness.
Normally I would have thrown this kind of thought out the window seconds after thinking it up... but I'm still thinking it...
Being a parent is far from an easy thing, hon, it really is. FAR from easy. And yet, when it's something you really want, things like this far make up for all the hardships you go through being one.
I'd wanted to be a MOm since I was a little girl, and it really was, and still is, a base desire for me. But it's not something to be taken lightly.
But when it's good.. it's good. And I wouldn't give Indiana up for the world.
I believe, however, that everything happens for a reason. That nothing that happens, happens without something in mind, sort of thing. You weren't meant to become a father just yet, just as Kyle and I don't appear to be meant to have another child just yet.. and thinking about the state of our finances, it's probably a good thing.
You're young yet. Someday you too might be writing in your journal about being a proud father. Who knows what Fate has in store?
