It takes a little while before Canada receives a reply. Uncertain how to deal with Luka and Romano's absence, he tries to distract himself by focusing on an odd detail about the colony's memorial writing.

"I don't know what it's called," Canada offers right off the bat, shrugging sheepishly. He knows other languages and their writing has names, but no one's bothered assigning one to this, at least not one he can share with others. "But some of my people use it, when they want to write things down and not just pass on the stories personally."

The colony looked down, fidgeting with something on the table a moment. "I'm not very good yet." His admission is quiet, clearly embarrassed. "Papa put some of his people in charge of teaching me, and I can write a few things, but it is hard. The shapes don't seem to represent anything at all."
