A new girl? The ID number popping up on the screen suggests that she's not a normal human however and that peeks his interest, but the fact that the conversation is 'audio only' irks him.

''Yes, you're doing it correctly, but you forgot to press the Video button.'' Her communicator now displays a somewhat scary-looking silver-haired boy about her age. He waits expectantly, hoping that him turning on the video will encourage her to do the same.

Quite reluctantly, Monoko switches to the Video option. Still, she doesn't really look abnormal, despite what her number says, except for being pretty pale. She doesn't seem to be looking straight at the camera though.

"I didn't forget. I just... I'm not very used to talking to others." She scratches the back of her head.

That's a little dispointing, but some of the more interesting 'people' he's met in Carriero have looked pretty ordinary at first glance so he hasn't lost all hope yet.

[Kanaya sticks to voice, as it seems to be the new girl's preference and she herself can find video a tad too intimate sometimes anyway. She's split between interest in the guest and sympathy for her situation, especially as she seems to have been beaten by some ornerier inmates to the punch.]

So it is possible for others to be brought here even during normal functioning. I'm of course sorry you had to be the subject of said experimentation. I'm Kanaya; it's a pleasure to be introduced.

Well, when I first arrived here, there was a great deal of confusion and so it was easy to hope that my -- kidnapping [she's finally learned well enough not to say grubnapping and, oh, god, introducing her self without an alien face was a bad idea, well, too late now] was a mere result of all the chaos. But apparently not. It seems to be "normal" here for people to be summoned with reckless abandon and without warning.

A girl!! Andrea is pretty pleased; she's been missing female company. She decides to leave an audio message.

"Are you ok? I'm Rea; think I'm down the hall from you."

She offers a smile. Sorry if it scares you; she's not trying to, but Andrea's not exactly prone to smiling a lot.

As soon as Monoko puts on her regular clothes, she gets Rea's message. So, she replies to it. She still doesn't feel all that confident about leaving her room.

"Hm? Oh, I'm OK. Just kind of lost..." That questionnaire she had to fill up was really weird and unsettling.

"Old German man... Oh, I think I talked to him, a while ago." Monoko remembers this guy saying foreign words, so it must be him. He didn't look nor sound dangerous though. Only really annoyed.
