WHOOHOO! UPDATED! Following discovery of gorgeous artwork from "Orange" (which is assigned for my summer class in Young Adult lit), here's a new layout and an update and some hopes that I'll be less lame about LJ-ing. I think I've mostly sucked at it this year because a.) life intruded, and b.) the only things I felt like I had to talk about ( Read more... )

It's good to hear from you! I really like your layout, by the way. The artwork is so colorful and bold!
I hope substitute teaching will go really great. I'm sure you will do excellent and everyone will love you. If it means anything, I would definitely send my kids to any school you are teaching at(if I had kids....)
No doubt your stories kick Twilight's thick, pointless ass.
Hey, if you are ever coming to Michigan in the summer, you should definitely stop by the upper peninsula (wow don't I sound like a selfish stalker?) I live in a small town similar to the one you described in "Folk You, Too" minus the mountains and plus Lake Superior. ^-^
Eh, sorry for such a long comment from a stranger.

No worries, hon! Hey, I did mention that basically every small-town fic storyline stems from summers in Michigan, right? There's a small chance I might be headed up that way again this summer, but it's pretty iffy at the moment. It would have to be sandwiched between my two summer class sessions, which is only a two week window. (Wow, pointless info dump courtesy of yours truly...)

Anyway, we usually hang at Stony Lake or Lake Muskegon. Michigan has my vacationing heart for now and forever. <3

It's good to hear from you again. :) Your schedule sounds quite busy... would I be seeing you any time? ♥

For Otakon? :< Sadly, no. My schedule is stupidly busy, on top of which I have to spend the summer getting all these things together for fall's teaching job. BUT I EXPECT OODLES OF PICTURES, MISSY! (Oh, and are you cosplaying this summer? Hm, hm, hmmmm?)

Oh wells. Perhaps our paths will cross another way. X33

Not sure about the cosplaying! Haven't kept up with new series. Might bring out the Aerith costume again, since I liked it.

YAY A CARRIE POST. <3

I want to read that thing you're writing. Whenever you feel it's safe to be read. Or maybe I'll just hijack your Mac at my whim.

In a way, it's kind of great that Twilight is such a success, because it's so reassuring to writers that you don't have to be the next Joyce or Twain to make moneys. Monies?

I never did figure that out.

Yeah, I'll probably let you and Brian read it when it's been through my head at leave three hundred and ninety-two more times. Of course, at this particular moment in time, it is at a momentary standstill because I have misplaced my outline that I worked so hard on. ._. I hope it's somewhere in all this college-move-age.

Moneys! :D Like monkeys! Not monkies. <3333 (I never noticed that before.)
