...'(cont'd from title)You think you're the big bad wolf, you should see George on a full moon. You think you're a cold-blooded murderer? Mitchell was killing 80 years before you were even born. Don't you get it yet? I'm just the tip of the iceberg, I'm good cop. Look at you, so pleased with your grubby little murder, fact is when it comes to pure naked evil, you're an amateur. I want you to know you wandered off the path. This is where the wild things are, and we have got your scent now, we can find you at the edge of the earth and create unimaginable tortures... and now I'm gonna tell you the very worst thing in the world, something only the dead know... [Whispers]
Okay, I'm going to have to go with Seven and her friend on this. The show I wish most of my other friends were watching (this very much includes you, Monique), is
Being Human. I don't think there are very many other shows on my current dvr-list that a. most everyone hasn't already been watching (Lost, HIMYM), and b. are amazing and not just funny to me (Parks and Rec, Gossip Girl). It does have bad CGI, but it also has a lot of naked
George, who is adorable. And Mitchell is pretty hot, though not often naked. I just love this show because it's funny, dumb, and horribly tragic EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. The whole idea of the show is to discover what 'being human' actually means, which is fascinating, very BSG-esque.
My favorite is the season one relationship (no, not in anyway romantic) between Annie (the ghost), and Mitchell (the vampire).
The quote in the beginning is when Annie first begins to regain confidence in herself, and trying (and succeeding) at being very badass. I don't know if I'm describing this well...Anyway, they three (the werewolf, the vampire, and the ghost) try to live normal lives, fitting in, 'being human.' And, for the most part, they succeed. That's what I love so much is how real they are as just people. People who happen to have little afflictions. Of course, season two gets more meta than that, but it's good.
And now I'm just talking in circles, because I can't even really say why I do love this show so much, just that everyone should watch it. Start at the beginning, and give it a few eps. I was very afraid of it, from commercials and descriptions--it sounded like Twilight and/or True Blood or something not as awesome as it is. But it's not.
