hurrah for new glasses, mine are so pathetically weak they aren't really worth it, like +0.5 or something stupid. I got my oh so cool emo glasses for 40 quid (damn no pound key) cheap as chips.

ace, we are both cool dude emos now. my frames were £50, but the bloody lenses were £100. eh-uh! we will not recognise each other come june for the side partings and thick rims.

it all about spec savers, that price included lenses and fitting, admittly mine are just like regular peices of glass though so your may have been a little more anyway. When I first got glasses when I was 17 they were from vision express and they cost loads like 120 quid for the frames alone. I decided to splash out since I was covered under my parents optical insurance ROCK ON.

Its my last day at work today, and we're off to canberra for the weekend this evening woo hoo.

but of course you are long sighted which will always make you better off than myopic unfortunates like myself. i would be most troubled if made spectacles-less in a public place. pretty impressive prescription though! mine, as logic would follow goes the other way, -6.75 (right) and -6.5 (left). with astigmatism. i suppose the appropriate phrase is: ner ner.

damn you patel! if only i'd known my prescription before it got better then maybe we would have been more equal. oh well, we have both done quite well i think, as maximum is 8. i, however, am not sure that my being long sighted is less fortunate than your short sightedness! oh no.

the maximum's 8? i could've sworn lynsey's eyes were 9 and 9.25. maybe i got mixed up. she was almost legally qualified as blind without her glasses though, i remember that much.

well my optician said the maximum was 8. maybe she was just trying to make me feel more hard done by.

If i wear Kat's glasses my eyesight gets fractionally crisper.. Which sucks as i thought my eyesight was perfect.. :(

Its probably good enough not to worry about getting glasses.. But.. Glasses are niiice! And I'm worried they'll tell me my eyes have been getting worse because ive not worn glasses when i should've been for years or something. I don't know how eyes work, wah.. :(

In other news.. I have Guitar Hero 2, with a second Guitar, so we can do widdle-offs.. It's the best thing ever! You (and Andy again, and hell, anyone else cool, or whom i know but fail to keep in contact with, oops) should come round for another metaaaaalll session!

playing more guitar computer games would be excellent. i will have to try and be better next time. when would be good?
i don't know how eyes work at all. it confuses me a lot when i try to think about it. i was talking to rob and he was telling me he's long sighted as well as short sighted now, because most people start to get a bit long sighted when they get into thri 50s. and i remember an optician telling me once that i was "so long sighted i'm short sighted" but how could that possibly make sense? and then there's this whole concept of astigmatism which is completely new to me. all too much. glasses are quite fun. i think especially if you get headaches it's good to get your eyes tested because having glasses might make them go away.
blah blah blah!

Weeeeeekend? a bit short notice, sorry.. Both Sat or Sun are good with me for metallic shenanigans... I suspect my calendar is the blankestest, so I'm flexible. :D early/mid-next week would be good otherwise though..

TROGDOR!!

So long sighted you're short-sighted does sound a bit strange.. I should probably check on wikipedia or something. Stuff which is interesting enough to wonder about but not interesting enough to research properly always frustrates me slightly, hehe. :D That's pretty lazy of me, but if im not super-interested in something i seem to insta-forget it afterwards anyway. Meh.

I used to get crazy headaches all the time, but hmm.. I havent been monitoring what I've changed, but they seemed to stop and I hadn't even really noticed.. I think maybe just getting out and going to uni, fresh air, etc might have done it.. Who knows though really.
