Went to Walgreen's after dinner and got some gel heel cups. They seem to work okay. Well enough that I probably won't need the new icon, which is fine, since I'm not in love with it anyway. I had in mind an animated one, but I don't have any animation software here.

It's to bad that I can't see how they fit on you. I used to be a shoe store manager. I pretty much know all the tricks. Are they to tight or just rub? If you need to lift the whole foot a bit (like you were saying before) a good thick insert may do that as well.

They just rub the back of my heel -- the place where my heel is at its absolute narrowest and hence most painful when pinched. The toes fit fine, which is why I figured raising just the heels would work. I think if I raised the whole foot, I'd find them tough to close.

I put the heel cups that I bought underneath the original insoles, and that seems to be working well.

Slowly. LOL I am planning on doing a fanfic. I have a 700 words of outline so far but nothing really of substance or anything really exciting. I have to go back through the outline and put some details into it and plan a bit more.

I have been sitting down though and trying to write other things to get into the groove of writing freely and not stopping myself. Somehow I don't think I am going to make it to 50,000. :( I'm gonna try though!!
