[Clothing]

He's got a ragged, purple scarf that wraps around his neck. He wears a black jacket with a gold belt that loops over his right shoulder, black ensemble, and a clock attached to a chain that turns into a powerful handgun when he wishes it.

[Background]

Elliot, like the other citizens of Wonderland, has been reborn multiple times from a watch that serves as his heart. When a person is killed or dies in Wonderland, they leave behind a still-handed watch. The watch is taken to Julius, the "mortician" of wonderland, by the AfterImage (the ghosts of people waiting to be reborn) and fixed. In this sense, all characters of Wonderland have been born multiple times over. Before Elliot began working for Blood Dupre, he worked and made a living on his own. He made friends with a man who had only a single wish: to have his clock-heart broken so that he couldn't be reborn again. Elliot's friend soon died, and he took it upon himself to shatter the clock and fulfill his dead friend's final wish.

Doing this made Elliot into a criminal of sorts- breaking a clock is a mortal sin of Wonderland. Julius caught and imprisoned Elliot with the assistance of Ace, who was poorly disguised with a mask and a bloody cloak. While serving time in prison, Blood Dupre, the mafia boss, helped him escape. Blood promised that he would do the same service Elliot did for his friend for Elliot- he promised to destroy Elliot's clock and kill him. Since then, Elliot has pledged unwavering loyalty to Blood, going so far as to live and work in the Dupre household. Even though Blood did not insist Elliot's loyalty or service, Elliot took it upon himself to repay the debt that he would owe Blood. Elliot is also a member of the Mafia of Wonderland, and accordingly one of the Mafia's strongest men.

When Elliot first meets Alice, he accuses her of being a spy. With his short span of thought, he pulls his gun on her and proclaims that he'll kill her for the mere reason of testing his gun out. Blood saves her by just being there and ordering a ceasefire and placing his arm around her shoulders. Because of his incredible similarity to Alice's previous lover, however, she pushes away from him and bolts. Elliot's first impression of her is a rude girl-- his loyalty, as unwavering as ever, makes him more concerned with Blood. When Blood mentions she's a foreigner, however, Elliot expresses vague interest. She is seemingly his first foreigner, though he expresses very little interest in her at the time. When she returns with Ace later, an interaction between Elliot and Ace is written out. Elliot isn't very bright, and after all the time spent showing Ace how to get to where he needs to be (sometimes, by dragging), he hasn't figured out that Ace is the man that caught and threw him into prison on Julius' orders. After a brief battle between Elliot and Ace, Blood appears again and scolds Elliot. Like a good little worker, Elliot poutingly angrily drags Ace in the right direction. After the brief direction instruction, the two return to find that Blood is hitting on Alice; Elliot claims she isn't Blood's type, so the flirt is dropped out of his mind. It is also here where Elliot first introduces himself to Alice and begins to appreciate her as the first foreigner he's ever come to meet.

They meet a second time in the Amusement Park. Blood has land that he wants to profitably resell to Mary Gowland (read: 'merry-go-round') (read: land that used to belong to Gowland), and Elliot, as always, accompanies him. When Blood taunts Gowland about his name, a particularly sensitive subject in the eyes of Gowland, Elliot is forced to draw his weapon and defend Blood while he escapes with Alice. After a sequence of events, Alice returns to join Blood Elliot, the Bloody Twins, and Boris (who was invited by the bloody twins) for a Midnight Tea Party. It is here that we learn more into Elliot's personality and his quirks, to be discussed in the personality section. After Elliot and Alice's charming, friendly interaction, Blood becomes angry, sultry, and jealous. The tea party ends, and after Alice refuses to stay and rest longer, Blood sends Elliot to walk her home.

[Personality]

Elliot's behavior can be seen on two drastic, opposing sides of the scale. His loyalty for Blood knows no bounds- he does what he's told as a subordinate, and also as a friend. Thusly, Blood's welfare is of greatest importance to him. Elliot would do anything Blood tells him, no matter what it is, because he owes Blood a great deal for getting him out of prison and also for promising to break his clock and end his cycle of being reborn. Elliot before he met Blood would kill first and question later, but since their meeting, he prides himself on waiting at least thirty seconds before shooting. Elliot is quite simple in this regard- easily pleased and at the same time, easily angered.

When it comes to Alice and people who he feels comfortable around, Elliot can be childish and adorable. Elliot's got a few little quirks; he claims to hate carrots, yet loves carrot flavored dishes, like carrot cake (contains carrots) and carrot compote (also contains carrots). He can become immature and hasty even in the most innocent of situations, and never holds back what he wants to say, even it it involved crude language or violence. In fact, he'd be more likely to use crude and violent language in a typical conversation with someone he's never met, or someone who he strongly dislikes.

Since death is a reoccurring theme of his world, people who he doesn't associate himself with or become friends with that die don't affect him at all. The definition of responsibility to Elliot is dealing with all of Blood's paperwork or dirty work promptly and keeping Alice safe, but otherwise he can be about as responsible as a four year old with a pistol. With no remorse in other people's passing to hold him down or make him upset, he can work diligently and easily, though he's not often seen with the words 'diligent' or 'easy-going' in mind.

[Specialties/Abilities]

Elliot is fast and an excellent shot with his weapon, which hangs in the form of a watch when he's not in a fight. When he engages in battle, he can simply touch the watch, and it will magically alter form to his hand gun. Blood has made subtle hints and gestures that would suggest Elliot is one of the strongest fighters that he knows.

It should also be noted that Elliot's heart isn't like other people's. It is, in fact, a clock. If you were to put your head against his chest, instead of hearing a heartbeat, you would hear the tick tock of a clock.

[Affection]

Any kinds of affection are allowed, but Elliot knows very little about love, mainly because besides with Alice, he's never really been in love. He's certainly never had anyone love him, so he wouldn't be used to the hugging or the dating or anything like that. He's not the type to just jump into a relationship. He's very perceptive, otherwise. If you're friends with him, and he likes you, there'll be a good chance that he'll notice little things like if you're sad, or angry, or sound weird.

I mean, you can try pretty much anything you want to. Just know that Elliot would probably react immaturely (read: awkwardly, angrily, or bitterly) if you, uh, put the moves on him. :[ he's just a little baby d'awwww.
[Fighting] Elliot would definitely invoke fights. Indubitably. Because of the lack of a requirement for restraint, Elliot would happily open fire on someone in the middle of a crowded street and never bother to avoid the other people. Elliot's world's citizens are all alive with a clock in the place of a heart. Thusly, when they die, the clock stops, and it's taken to someone for repair. Life isn't cherished.

Pissing Elliot off is easy if you know what he hates: carrots, being called a rabbit, and any hostility towards Alice or Blood. He has the ability to turn the golden clock at his side into his weapon: a large handgun, and it seemingly comes with limitless ammo. Elliot is, however, not without fatigue. He's quite the admirable shot if need be, and very quick on his feet. It was once noted by Blood that Elliot's firearms skills are with very little rivalry.

Elliot is pretty cocky when he underestimates you, which might happen more times than not. Taking advantage of his 'assured win' is a good tactic if you're looking for an opening or an exit.

[Other Permissions]

Sure, you can read his mind! Just be aware that with the way I roleplay, I tend to add my own snarky comments to my [ action ] tags. Please, don't misunderstand these as his thoughts. :[;; Uh, if your character and Elliot (read: elliot and everyone who ever questions blood ever) are going to fight, I would appreciate it if you would PM me or email me before we open up a log or decide what happens. Just so we know who'll win and lose, if anyone gets hurt...etcetcetc. On the same note, please don't kill him off without my consent. Or godmod him.

[Other Facts]

Elliot loves carrot flavored foods, like carrot cake, carrot compote, carrot soup, etcetc. On the same token, he absolutely loathes carrots- probably because they're the symbol of what he is: a rabbit. Elliot truly believes that he was born...a dog. That's right, Elliot March, the rabbit, believes he's a dog with abnormally long ears, and he's very, very sensitive about it. Calling him a rabbit will make him erupt into an argument (probably a very poor one, mind you). If you tease him enough about it, he may decide to pursue you.

While I want to respect your roleplaying wishes more than anything, I'd also like to put out that if you don't want to fight with Elliot, you shouldn't tease him about those things. He's very sensitive. If he says that he's going to find you and shoot you in the face, he'll definitely try and he'll find you at some point in time (Somarium is big, but you can't hide forever). If you tease him and then PM me saying that you don't want to have the two fight, I don't know if I could make that work unless someone mans up IC, and Elliot usually isn't that someone.

What I'm trying to say is that Elliot is headstrong and immature- picking fights with people he doesn't like is something that's in his character. If you walk your character into the mess that is an angry Elliot, you'll have to walk your pup out the same way. Elliot wouldn't just let you go if you offended him, and there's a good chance he won't forget. So...lets make sure we think everything out all hunky dory before hand, ja?

Like the other characters of Heart no Kuni no Alice, Elliot is very protective of Alice, and has indeed come to love her as a foreigner. You probably shouldn't mess with her while Elliot is around her. :[ Blood is the most important person to Elliot, period. Messing with Blood is like a first class ticket to a fight with Elliot.
