Well I'm going to do a little post of what I got out of some of the books I finished recently. What good is a book if you don't share with other people some of what you learned.

I just recently read 1984 too, and I was pretty disappointed with it. The premise was pretty interesting, but nothing really happened the whole time, which made the book kind of boring. On top of all that, I really don't think brainwashing could ever be that bad where the public will allow themselves to believe the opposite of what they know is true. I mean, we invaded Iraq because they had weapons of mass destruction Saddam was connected to Osama bin Laden to spread democracy in the Middle East, and it will always be for that reason only.

hahaha exactly... and it really works on people! i think 'w' read this book and really put the big brother tactics to work. as far as it being boring, i book-on-cd'd it on my way to and from work, and NOTHING is more boring than a 30 min commute each way.
